Tricycle Ministry

"Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God."
(Isaiah 40:3)

While our church is earning money and donations to buy a Service Utility Vehicle (SUV), Brother Arthur Cabatu accepted the unusual work of “Tricycle Ministry.” This ministry, utilizes tricycle in order to fetch our members living in the barrio from their house going to the Church in order for our less fortunate members in Barangays Canduyong and Budiong attend the Sunday Worship Service. Thereafter, he will return them back to their homes. It was quite challenging because the roads going to the barrio in Barangay Canduyong is not cemented, rough, steep and muddy during rainy season. For almost 3 months he did this ministry with a smile and enthusiasm because according to him, “this is all for the Glory of God.”

Brother Arthur is an industrious and a God-fearing person. He earns his living by being a tricycle driver. He is caring to his family, that is why he even takes good care too of his tricycle. He sees to it that God is the driver and his ever companion in every travel he does. You can read in the mudguard of his tricycle a caption: “nasa Diyos ang awa, nasa tao ang gawa” which means “God is merciful to those who toil and labor. “ Truly, Brother Arthur is a paragon of being a good deacon.

Brother Pol Galiga and myself also shares our tricycle and backs-up Brother Arthur if in case he is not around. We bring members to attend Men’s and Women’s Fellowship and place our Baptist Hymnal. For this we thank God for giving us a Tricycle Ministry.
